Well, here it is, my semi-annual blog post. I had every intention of doing this daily, because I love it, but with the kids being out of school and not feeling the best, its been hard to do anything but just what has to get done.
I guess I should start with THE BIG NEWS, even though you all probably already know... WE ARE HAVING A BABY! I am so very excited, I just can't even tell you. I am, first and fore-most, hoping for a perfectly healthy baby, but secondly...I so want this to be a GIRL! I have always thought I would have two boys and one girl, so maybe I'm right! I have been scoping out all kinds of girly things..hoping that come late October, I can start to buy some of them! I have been 100 times sicker with this baby than I ever thought about being with Mason or Trevor. I. mean. sick. people! The word nausea is not my friend. Having to force myself to eat when nothing in my cabinets even sounded remotely good, was horrible. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! I think I am getting better now, other than being tired. I will take tired over nauseous ANY DAY! I'm 10 weeks 5 days today! Our due date is March 16, 2012.
I saw this on a blog the other day and thought I might do it too..
10 Random Truths About Me
1. I could go my entire life without eating a chocolate candy bar. I hate them. In fact, I don't really like chocolate, at all. I can stand an occasional wackie (no bake cookie) or chocolate piece of cake, etc. But if you were to offer me a Twix, Snickers, Milky Way, or any other kind of candy bar, I would pass. Every single time.
2. I hate doing laundry. I don't even need to explain this one, as I'm sure every other Mom in America feels the same way I do.
3. I love being home with my boys. I love that I can always be there if one of them is sick and needs me.
4. I love my husband for many reasons, but one of them is that he works so very hard so I can be home with the kids. He sacrifices so much time away for us. I just don't know how I can ever show him how much I really do appreciate all he does for our family. (We are going on our 4th week away from one another)
5. I love the movie Father of the Bride Part II. I watch it at least 3 times a week. Late at night. Usually when I'm folding laundry. (See #2)
6. My mom is my hero. If any of you know my Mom, you know she is a hard workin' woman. You know that she has been that way since I was young. You know she works her tail off, even when she doesn't have a tail to work off. You also know that she is a fighter. She is now a 3 year breast cancer survivor. I admire her. I love her. I think she is the most special of all special people.
7. I think the show Toddlers and Tiaras is stupid. Just plain stupid. The reason I think that is because the mothers on that show make complete rear ends out of themselves. I just hope their children don't turn out like them.
8. I like Judge Judy.
9. I love it when my husband randomly sends me a text message telling me he loves me or misses me.
10. I wish I were more organized. I'm going to try to get that way before Baby #3 comes.. its one of my goals!

INGENIOUS Idea!
Hmph! Well here it has been over a month since I have blogged, well crap! I so told myself that I would keep up with it better than I have. BUT, as you can see, so far, I have not. Blah. I'm sorry, followers. I'm going to TRY to do lots better!
I *THINK* I have come up with an ingenious idea. You can tell me if you agree or not. I hate mating socks. With. a. passion. The sorting. The inevitable leftover 3 or 4 socks that the dryer has eaten. Its all a horrible time for me. SO, I came up with this idea! I purchased small baskets from Dollar Tree. ($1 each) Each member of my family has their own color. I also wrote our names on them in case I didn't remember who was what color. Here are a couple pictures..

They're the perfect size, because I line them up below my dryer and when I pull each sock out, I throw it in the appropriate basket. When it comes to keeping up with Mason's tiny socks, it has helped me so much! Its so much easier to mate them person by person. The baskets are also handy to put the mated socks in and then just dump them in the drawer! I hope you like my "ingenious" idea as much as I do.

Weekend Wrap Up
Why do weekends have to fly by so quickly? Its the time when Jim is home and we can all spend time together as a family. I love weekends. We usually don't have much of an agenda. Which is really nice.
On Friday, I got my Mothers day present early. (Thank you Jim! I love it!) Its a new Rainbow vacuum! Woohoo! Now, if my cousin Cody and his wife Ashley are reading this, they are probably laughing like crazy. Its. all. their. fault. that we purchased this vacuum to begin with. Cody asked me to see a demo of this vacuum so that Ashley could get the shampooer for FREE. So, being the wonderful cousin I am, I agreed. If anyone knows me, I am a sucker for a good deal (and so is Jim, but he wont admit it. Which is why I had 3 (THREE!) engagement rings, but that's another story) Long story short, I got a Rainbow. Not only is it an amazing vacuum, it also purifies the air! So Friday and Saturday, I cleaned my house like I have never cleaned it before. It was exhilarating! Now, if laundry gave me the same feeling, that would be perfect. But, it doesn't. The proof is in the 748 loads sitting in my laundry room floor right now.
Anyway, on Sunday, since it was such a beautiful day, Jim and I decided to clean out our vehicles. I used the rainbow on both of them! It did fantastic! It looked like we had taken our vehicles to one of those amazing drive through places where they clean the inside and the outside of your vehicle in no time flat. I even used Armour All and Windex to clean the interiors as well. YAY! Go me!
All in all, we had a great weekend and are excited to go to see Jim's family for Easter this weekend. Hoping for beautiful weather and no rain!

This is my Mason. 17 months old already. =( And that thing in his mouth, is his love, his "bee" he calls it. If he had it his way, he would have it in his mouth 24/7/365. I love his sweet smile. He is such a funny boy! This morning he got ahold of Jim's after shave and when Jim asked him to put it back, he hid it behind his back! Hes beginning to say a few more words, like "they too" (thank you), which I think is precious.
OH! I heard from T's baseball coach, practices start soon and I am suuuper excited! Cant wait to get some ball field dust on us!

Crafts
Well as some of you know, I heart crafting. I heart Hobby Lobby and everything thats in Hobby Lobby! My little hobby, has turned into a "side-business". Which I am super thrilled about. Since I stay at home with the boys, although I work my rear off with my kids (like any Mother), this gives me something to call my own. I dont pretend to be a "professional" by any means, so I just go with what I think looks good. Most of the time, this philsophy works. There have been two or three, okay four, times that it hasn't. I did have a blog for my "business" MomSquared Designs, but I deleted it. I will be doing good to keep up with one blog, theres no way I could keep up with two. Below are some examples of my work. If you would like to place an order, please contact me by commenting. Please refer to your friends also, I would certainly appreciate it.
All of these designs can be modified in any way you prefer. Just let me know what you have in mind and I will do my best to make it happen! FIRST blog post
Well here it is! My first blog post! Ive been wanting to start a "mom" blog for awhile now. Who the heck knows why I haven't. I just haven't, okay? =)
I like to think that I'm pretty tech savvy. In fact, my husband thinks I am, which is exactly how I prefer it. No, in all seriousness, I can do your regular run-of-the-mill things, but when it comes to blog stuff, I find it a teeny bit confusing! So bare with me while I work all of this out. I will strive to be as creative and wonderful writer as my friend Erica. If you haven't checked out her blog, you should. She is such a great blog writer! Hello, Erica! (Oh and while I'm talking about Erica, you should go to her blog and help support her family's adoption. They have a sweet baby girl in Ethiopia that needs to come home and see her Momma, Daddy, brothers, and sister. )
I will update you on how our little family is doing now, since that's the main purpose of my blog to begin with..
TREVOR - Oh, Trevor. My sweet, 5 year old, Trevor. He is such a funny, smart, amazing child. Although there are certainly times when I would love to pinch his little head off, he is such a blessing to me. He came into my life at such an important time. I will forever credit him to changing my life, for the better (of course). He came at a time when I didn't *really* know who I was. Anyway, he is doing so well in school. I just received his latest report card. His lowest grade? 96%. I. mean. seriously. I hope (and I pray) he continues this trend. Great job, Bubba! Momma and Daddy are super proud of you! He will start parent pitch baseball soon and I'm sooooooo excited! Cant wait for my little lefty to show 'em what hes got!
MASON - Oh, Mason. My sweet, 17 month old, Mason. (See a pattern here) He is such a sweet, funny, curious, amazing little boy. Did I mention he is curious? Yes, Mason has to know the who, what, when, why about everything. He climbs. Oh man, does. he. climb! I'm also convinced that Mason cannot feel pain. He has fallen, hit his head, and hurt himself and not shed a single tear! Mason is an outside boy. He loves it! In fact, he throws a loop-legged fit when we have to come inside. He had tubes put in his ears this last Friday (4/8/11), and boy was this Momma dreading it. It, surprisingly, was quick and very easy on him! From the time I left him, until the nurse said they were done was TWELVE minutes. Amazing! He woke up hungry and thirsty! He was up and playing like normal THAT VERY AFTERNOON! I'm so glad that we are (hopefully) done with ear infections and high temperatures so we can enjoy the summer coming up and spend lots of time outside playing!
